Collaboration will expand reach to engage more entrepreneurs and thought-leaders

WASHINGTON, DC — February 2, 2016: Today the founders of Brigadoon and The Avalon Institute announced a new strategic partnership. The formal relationship will ensure collaboration to expand the reach of both organizations and engage more entrepreneurs and thought-leaders. Also, Brigadoon and The Avalon Institute will utilize dynamic media platforms to foster learning and networking as well as launching events in major metropolitan areas in the United States and Europe.

Marc Ross, founder of Brigadoon, and Perry Smith, co-founder of Avalon Institute, issued this statement announcing their new strategic collaboration:

Marc Ross: “I have long felt that the world is cluttered with worn-out conference formats and one-way panel events. Many conferences I attend rarely connect onstage information with offstage networking opportunities.

“When I launched Brigadoon, I wanted to create an intimate gathering that would bring together entrepreneurs and thought-leaders to a venue where real networking could take place, an environment where ideas could be shared without overused technology to dampen engagement, and a setting where new business partnerships could be hatched. Now entering its fourth year, I am proud to say Brigadoon is growing as I had hoped.

Marc A. Ross is the founder and creator of the yearly gathering Brigadoon that connects entrepreneurs and thought-leaders in Sundance, Utah.

Ross has extensive experience in business development for companies as well as leading the advocacy operations, fundraising programs and communications efforts for nonprofits, trade associations, corporations and political campaigns, many for the highest offices in the United States and the United Kingdom.
